The Able Agenda is a planner company striving to create an encouraging medium for students, moms, and businesswomen to plan out their busy lives. Through the use of clean and minimalistic page designs, the agendas are perfectly formulated for women young and old to use with ease.
At The Able Agenda, it is believed that through personal reflection we are most likely to feel our best, thus do our best. Because of this, monthly gratitude pages are spread throughout the planner to encourage users take the time to go over the things that matter most to them.
The Problem
Today's agenda companies are too caught up in designing a pretty product, that they lose some of the usability. Ornate designs are included, distracting you from what really matters. The challenge was to simplify the pages down to just the necessities, while still creating a product that maximizes usefulness and appeals to female customers.
The Solution
No line, word, or number is included beyond what is necessary for daily planning. Branding is minimal, but still feminine.
Type, Color, & Logo
Simplicity is key when it comes to agenda page designs so that users can use their own color without the page getting busy. The things written on the page should take center stage, not the agenda's aesthetic. Because of this, The Able Agenda has a minimalist color pallet consisting of two monochromatic color scales.
For the typography throughout the branding and touch points, there is only one typeface used to keep with the theme of simplicity. Didot is recognized in the design community for it's high fashion, Vogue-like appearance. It's clean and balanced line weights make it airy while still appearing prominent on a page.
The pyramid in the logo is a symbol for the priorities in your life, whether that be work, school, kids, etc. Through the use of gratitude pages, The Able Agenda helps users keep their eye on what matters the most to them.

Simplified down to just the necessities, each of these layouts is designed for maximum usability. Most of today's planners are filled with random embellishments companies add on in an attempt to appeal to feminine audiences. Does a pretty flower really benefit your organization?
